Space Battleship Yamato’s attempt to do The Next Generation. At least according to, Cosmo DNA. And its a highly enjoyable OVA series, which I wish there were more of.
Syd Mead’s 17th Yamato
Syd Mead's space ship designs are glorious! This is how starships SHOULD LOOK. Practical, yet elegant. More to the point they function along a common sense structure. Its a pity this show never got completed. Whatever its virtue as a sequel to the original Space Battleship Yamato series, as a standalone experience I thought it highly enjoyable.
