Jonathan Kent and reluctant young sidekick Damian Wayne are burdened with saving the world from impending doom. The two must join forces to rescue their fathers and save the planet by becoming the super heroes they were intended to be.
DC Comics and Warner Brothers need to do more of THIS!
Probably the best current day, that is in the 2020's depiction of Superman to exist. This is a proper superhero movie in all its glory.
Its a bit of a slow burn, and it took a moment for my to adjust to the animation style, now however I want MORE! Hope this is a launch of a new DC Animated Universe as it hits all the right notes. Warner Brothers is very competent for the most part when it comes to animation.
I do wonder. Why is DC/Warner Brothers so fixated on Starro these days?
One of the things this film did really good is tell Superman's entire backstory in the space of the few frames and a beautifully rendered prologue which ties directly into the plot.
I can't gush enough about this movie.
